Dr. Taha Khan

Dr. Khan, a native of Rochester and graduate of Pittsford Mendon High School, discovered his passion for dentistry early on while working as a dental assistant throughout high school and college. This initial interest led him to pursue undergraduate studies at SUNY Geneseo before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.

Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Khan further specialized in pediatric dentistry, completing a two-year residency program at the University of Rochester- Eastman Institute for Oral Health. His dedication to advancing the field is underscored by receiving the prestigious Basil G. Bibby Award for his research focusing on children with autism. Driven by a deep commitment to pediatric dentistry, Dr. Khan values the importance of forming strong connections with young patients and their families. His approach is characterized by empathy and respect, aiming to enhance both dental health and emotional well-being through personalized care tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Dr. Khan currently serves as faculty at the pediatric dentistry residency program at Eastman Dental Center. He also maintains memberships with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the 7th District Dental Society.

Outside of his practice, he enjoys hiking, movies, sightseeing, and cherishes family time. Dr. Khan is thrilled to return to his hometown community, where he feels privileged to care for its pediatric population alongside the compassionate team at North Coast Dental Group.
